The changes in this first stage of the intermediate drawing were to reduce the size of the “religious “ figure on the left (the horn blower) for the relgio/financial/military entanglement/industrial complex , and place a sword in the right hand of the WG. The horn blower was seated on a large cracked egg, a la Humpty Dumpty ( we can’t put our civilization back together again).
